A letter to my friend
(Sent by Ana García, a student from Cáceres, Spain)
Hi Mary!
I'm sorry because I haven't written to you since last year. How are you?
How is your baby? And Joe?
Is he still studying French?
About us, we are very well. I'm not pregnant yet but I think I'll be
soon. We think that we have to travel and enjoy ourselves at the moment. So we're
going to visit Istanbul next summer. In fact, we have a lot of things to
do this summer. We're going to attend to a wedding on the first weekend of July
and to another wedding on the last. We're going to visit Vitoria with Rebeca on
the first week on August. And then, we're going to visit Istanbul from the twenty-third
to the thirtieth of August. I'm so excited for
to visit Istanbul. I'll like it doubtless.
We've bought two plane return tickets and we've booked a double room in
a first-class hotel next to Gran Bazar. From my point of view, our travel is
very affordable. We've paid about seven hundred euros. What do you think? Is it
cheap?
Thinking about holidays, I've remembered last summer, when we went to
Santander to visit you. You were the best hostess that
we've never had. You showed
us the sightseeing of your town, you prepared us delicious coffees and you were
charming with us. I have happy memories of this summer. Therefore, you are
invited to come to my home wherever you want (I hope it'll be soon).
Oh! I've forgotten to tell you about my birthday. I've celebrated my birthday last weekend. I gave a party in my
mum's restaurant and it was very
funny. All my friends (except you) and my family come
came there. We had a dinner
and then we danced all night long. People gave me a lot of presents: a necklace,
a bag, a t-shirt, a pair of earrings. However, I missed you!
Well, I have to study English so I have to say goodbye. I hope to see you
soon. I send good intentions kind
regards to you and your family. Kindest regards for
Joe. Kisses.
Ana
Oh! Congratulations, I know you're pregnant again, word travels
fast!
