My last birthday

My last birthday was about four months ago, the 4th of December. I spent that
day with my family and my girlfriend in my house.
We all had a good lunch based on an Spanish food my mother cooked for us, called
cocido. It's a very popular recipe in Spain but every province make it different
from each other. After lunch, my family gave me some gifts, such as
a new jersey
and a new shirt. I appreciated their presents with a big hug.
Some conversations and laughs later, we shared some time in front of TV and took
a short nap. But when I woke up I began to feel worse and worse. That was a pity
because I had told my girlfriend to go that night to a good restaurant and have my
birthday celebration with some more intimacy.
We had to change our plans so we stayed at home. Nevertheless, it was really cold
out there so it wasn't a bad plan at all. We enjoyed our time together watching
some good movies we always said we had to watch someday.
