My favourite vacations

We set off at 8am and arrived
The first day, we slept in an hacienda close to The Guagua Pichincha Volcano. The next day, we climbed this volcano, that was incredible! We had a lot of cold because we were 4700 metres over the sea level. After that, we visited a waterfall and went to Cuicocha lake in Ibarra. This is a wonderful place.
These are my favourite vacations because it was very funny, I knew a lot of places that I had never seen before. That week will always live on my mind as one of the happiest vacations
You really must go to these places. It is a wonder that our country has these places that many people don't know yet.
TIPS:
Vacations
is used specially in American English. Holidays is used in British English. If you choose the first option, you should stick to American English and write favorite and meters.
Arrive in/at
is correct. Arrive to is incorrect.
