Money
The word money comes from the Latin word moneta, which was the surname of Juno, the Roman Goddess and protector of the Roman State.
In Rome there was a temple built in her honor, and it was there that the first coins were minted. She was considered to be guardian of the finances of the Empire. The word moneta gave then origin to the English words monetary and money.
La palabra money proviene de la palabra latina moneta, que era el sobrenombre de Juno, la Diosa Romana y protectora del Estado Romano.
