My best vacation

The best family trip we have done so far was to Asturias last summer.

I wanted to travel; however, my wife was afraid of the coronavirus. Finally, we decided to get away to disconnect and have a good time with the family. After looking for destinations, we decided to travel to Cangas de Onís, a small village in Asturias. So, I booked a room in a luxury downtown hotel.

We were all very excited, because it was the first trip after the confinement due to covid-19, and we wanted to spend an unforgettable vacation.

The journey set off very early and I drove from Madrid to Asturias for 6 hours. The first stop was in León, where we had a tasty and succulent breakfast. After that, we kept on until we arrived in Cangas de Onís.

When we got to the hotel, we checked in and carried our luggage up to the room. The room was very spacious and cozy. Then, I asked for a guidebook in the hotel. So, we took our rucksacks and we went sigthseeing for around the village like holidaymakers.

We did a lot of activities such as hiking, horseback riding, eating out delicious typical Asturian dishes. The weather was awful. It was raining 3 of the 7 days we were there. On the other hand, what we liked the most was the impressive landscape.

As far as I'm concerned, it has been the best family vacation so far. So I recommend this trip to everyone.
