Surprise!

It was ten o'clock in the morning and the street was fairly empty. Stand and Fred
watched an old lady who was slowly walking along.
During the past three weeks,
they had stolen the handbags of several old ladies in the area, and they were
sure that this time it would be just as easy.
The boys waited until the woman reached the corner. Then Stan went over and
asked her for directions. Meanwhile Fred came from behind and tried to grab her
bag. Suddenly, the woman pushed Stan to the ground and began to hit Fred with
her bag. This certainly wasn't part of the plan!
Fred decided the best thing to do was to escape. He turned
round and ran... straight into
the arms of two policemen.
The police had noticed the thefts in the area and had
set a trap for the thieves. And the old woman was really a policewoman.
