Learning a new language

Have you ever wondered what is the best way to learn a new language is? Why do you have to study at least three years in order to learn it, and get your degree as a bilingual person? Is this really necessary? Is it all that time what you need to start speaking any language?

I have always thought that the best way to learn a new language is by imitating, exactly the same way that we learnt our native language. As kids we start to imitate different words, and this is the result of seeing people around us talking to one another, and we start to associate these words with images.

After that, I think we have to educate our listening, and we could reach this goal as fast as possible. By listening to music, TV shows, news, we start to get an idea about the real pronunciation of the language we are learning

And what about writing? I think that people who is learning a new language should practice as much as possible writing different articles about different topics that will help you to increase your vocabulary, to know different idiomatic expressions, that way, you will be able to realize what mistakes you are making.

And last but not least, grammar. This is something important because it will give you the knowledge about the right use of verbs, articles, etc.

As you can see , learning a new language is something really fun. It doesn't have to be something stressful, or something that scares you because you think that could fail. It depends on how willing you are to become a bilingual person.
