My Spring holidays

On my Spring holidays I went to the south of France in April with my husband. We didn't book our holidays at a travel agent's. We designed our own holidays.

We got over there by train and when we arrived, we hired a small blue car. With that car we went through lots of the towns on the French coast where we stayed for fifteen days.

We visited Marseille, Nice, Montpellier... I always drove. One day while I was driving our car, it was starting to rain and we stopped on the road. Suddenly, by surprise a big storm came broke out. We left our car and we took the opportunity to have a hot coffee in a restaurant.

During the trip we took photos, we visited the sights, we ate in typical restaurants and we met some interesting people who told us about these places.

One day we were walking when we found a small workshop of picture books. We went in, and the artist, who was working, wanted to take a photo with us although he was painting, while we were talking about Spain. One day, five years later, he came to visit us.

During the night, we usually went to recommended restaurants, where we could eat/taste some national dishes offered on the menu.

Last day, we made a plan: to buy some presents while we were walking along the street. I remember that we spent a very long time walking. We enjoyed talking and walking, and I hope to return over there again, because we were feeling more and more together.

We didn't have any problems. To return, that was just the trouble.
