Gossip
(Sent by Gloria Torres Colmenarejo, a student from Alcalá de Henares, Spain)
In Spain many people love gossiping, like in England. They usually gossip at work, at morning coffee, in the hairdresser's shop, in bus, everywhere.
Women often gossip about her their neighbours, her their mother-in-law and the cinema stars. They normally do it in the hairdresser's shop. Although, they say they don't gossip, men love gossiping too. They often gossip about his their colleagues' salaries, his their bosses, women, and, his favourite topic, sports people. They normally meet in bars to gossip.
Spanish people don't gossip about the Royal Family, the Spanish love Royal Family. They don't gossip about politicians' private lives, either. People think they aren't important. It's important what they do.
