My favourite subject

At secondary school, my favourite subject was Literature. I liked this subject because I liked reading and writing. I wanted also to know the biography of the writers.

Miguel was the Literature teacher. He was young and he was extrovert and sensible. He was the best teacher in the school and he was a graduate of Cambridge University.

In my classroom, there were twenty-five pupils and all my classmates were my friends because we were together for three years.

They were good students too, after that some of them went to university and others began to work and I hardly ever saw them.

I had nine subjects in the week, Maths and Physics were the most difficult for me but also the most useful for my degree course.

All teachers were very strict because they wanted us to go to university. I had a lot of homework for each subject every day and I had to study hard because on the following day, the teachers would ask me the lesson. However I passed my exams with good marks and I got a good mark in Literature, Maths and Physics. After a few years I specialized in Maths, Physics and Biology because I wanted to study medicine.

Literature was useful for me, because while I sudied medicine I went to work in a theatre company for five years.
