English Vocabulary - Vocabulario de inglés
Quake means to shake because you are afraid or angry.
Quiver means to shake slightly because you are cold, afraid or angry.
When talking about the Earth or a building that shakes in a violent way, we use quake.
Quake significa temblar porque tienes miedo o estás enojado.
Quiver significa temblar ligeramente porque tienes frío, miedo o estás enojado.
Al hablar sobre la Tierra o un edificio que se mueve en forma violenta, se usa quake.

    Helen was quaking with anger when she heard the news.
    The bomb exploded and all the houses in the area quaked.
    Yesterday the earth quaked again in our village.

  • quiver
    Helen was quivering with anger when she heard the news.
    Are you cold? You are quivering!
    The child stood there quivering with fear.
